Ingredients
- 150 grams of self-raising flour
- 150 grams of butter (preferable softened)
- 150 grams of caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 200 grams of royal icing sugar
- Pink food colouring
Method
- Preheat the oven to 275 degrees Celsius.
- Beat the sugar and butter together.
- Slowly beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add flour and milk and mix until light and fluffy.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes .
- Cool for 20-25 minutes.
- Add a small amount of water to the royal icing sugar beat until smooth.
- Add food colouring and mix until blended.
- Ice all 12 fairy cakes and place in fridge for 25-30 minutes to let icing set.
